As the former Library Director of the Mountain Home Public Library, I have deep roots in the Mountain Home community and a genuine love for
the work that libraries and schools do. These days, I'm part of the Management Team at the Idaho Commission for Libraries, where I get to
help strengthen library services across the whole state, which is pretty exciting.I'm also a proud graduate of the McKenna Online program,
and serving as Chairman of the Board for Richard McKenna Charter School is one of the most meaningful ways I can give back to an institution
that has given me so much. Outside of work, my favorite place to be is with my wife and our two kids.

My name is Nicole Hawkinson, and I’m honored to serve our community as a member of the School Board. I have proudly called
Mountain Home, Idaho my home since 1997. I care deeply about both our town and the military families who are such an important part of our
community. I am a proud wife to a veteran and a mom of six amazing children, (4 of them have attended Richard Mckenna schools.) I bring more
than 22 years of experience in education and am a graduate of the very first class of Richard McKenna Charter High School. I earned my
bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Professional Studies from Boise State University, with minors in Elementary Education and Child
Psychology. I currently work as a librarian for the Department of Defense and volunteer as an American Heritage Girls troop leader, serve as
a Key Support Mentor for my squadron, and am a very active member of my church.I believe strong schools are built through collaboration,
transparency, and listening to our community, and I look forward to supporting opportunities that help every student thrive.
