    This class is designed to give students help with their classroom work. The student may enter the Academic Support class and then click on the library link to log into the Breeze program where the student and instructor can share computer screens to work through various assignments.

Course Description

    Foundations Skills Language Usage A is designed to remediate issues involving basic language difficulties and writing deficiencies.

Students will take online pretests to determine the areas that they do not meet the required 80% proficiency standard. The pretest will determine the areas that the students show limited understanding and will assign the appropriate lessons to meet their individual needs.

Foundation Skills Language Usage A is a self-paced curriculum monitored by a certified Special Education Teacher. Weekly reports, explaining student progress, will be emailed or sent by snail mail to parents every Friday afternoon

Completion of this course is based on an 80% proficiency rating on the final post tests and weekly assignment scores. Successful completion of these test instruments indicates that the student has the necessary tools they need to be successful in the high school environment.

Students will take online pretests to determine the areas that they do not meet the required 80% proficiency standard. The pretest will determine the areas that the students show limited understanding and will assign the appropriate lessons to meet their individual needs.

Students will be required to complete weekly reading logs, vocabulary assignments and on-line Skills Tutor lessons.

Course Description

    Foundations Skills Writing Skills is designed to remediate issues involving writing deficiency.

Students will take online pretests to determine the areas that they do not meet the required 80% proficiency standard. The pretest will determine the areas that the students show limited understanding and will assign the appropriate lessons to meet their individual needs.

Foundation Skills Language Usage is a 9 week curriculum monitored by a certified Special Education Teacher. Weekly reports, explaining student progress, will be emailed to parents every Monday afternoon.
